A company reported a need to create a
joint system for variety of materials, for sandwich method and single-sided
method. Such joints should be inexpensive and resistant enough to hold until
seated in destination points. The report focused on the ability to join easily
– particularly for initial charges.
ACTIONS
The production process as well as raw
materials, equipment and technologies being used were all analysed. The source
of the problem as well as the customer’s needs were determined. An initial
analysis of joining possibilities was made, and then we selected the most
adequate one for the final assembly model and specified requirement.
EFFECT
A single-sided method and a sandwich method in joining technology was chosen
Alternative joints as well as possible customers were presented
Possible automation for higher production scale was suggested
The company was provided with new product versions.
